About Jalaj Saxena
Jalaj Saxena is one of the most consistent all-rounders in the history of Indian domestic cricket. Born in Indore in 1986, the son of a professional swimmer who worked at the Bhilai Steel Plant, he first tried swimming but turned to cricket, following his elder brother Jatin. Starting as a fast-bowling all-rounder, he reinvented himself as a right-arm off-spinner and has been a pillar of the Indian domestic circuit for well over a decade.

Jalaj made his first-class debut for Madhya Pradesh in the 2005–06 Ranji Trophy and later also represented Chhattisgarh. In 2016 he moved to Kerala, where he became one of the team’s most important players, scoring runs and taking wickets season after season.
He has built an exceptional record in first-class cricket, joining a small group of Indian cricketers with thousands of runs and hundreds of wickets in domestic matches, and has played for India A and in the IPL.
