Career highlights
Raju broke into the India side in 1989–90 after taking 32 wickets in a domestic season, and made his Test and ODI debuts on the tour of New Zealand. In his first Test innings, sent in as night-watchman, he batted for more than two hours.
He formed a strong spin partnership with Anil Kumble at home and played at the 1996 World Cup. After retiring he served in cricket administration and coaching.
