About P. T. Usha
Pilavullakandi Thekkeparambil Usha, the Payyoli Express, is the queen of Indian athletics. She narrowly missed an Olympic medal in the 400 m hurdles at Los Angeles 1984 by one hundredth of a second, won four gold medals at the 1986 Asian Games and has been an icon for generations. She became President of the Indian Olympic Association in 2022.
