About Hima Das
Hima Das, nicknamed the Dhing Express, became a national hero in 2018 when she won the 400 m at the World U20 Championships, the first gold for India in a track event at any world-level competition. Her rise from paddy fields in Assam to the world stage is one of Indian sport’s great stories.
